Multi-Layer Box Volume Calculator
Learn how to calculate internal volume of a complicated multi layer subwoofer enclosure!
Multiple layer subwoofer enclosures are becoming increasingly popular. The fabricator is able to make an enclosure out of a complex shape and further integrate into locations of a vehicle that would otherwise be difficult. A problem with multi layer enclosures is that volume calculations for subwoofer airspace become very difficult. Using the procedure shown in the video, along with the Calculator file and mail scale below we can simplify the process.
Weigh a sizeable sample of the exact material you are using for the enclosure. If you are alternating shapes as shown in the picture above you can determine two different volumes for the two different shapes based on the number of sheets in each, and then add these two volumes together.
